Happy 4th of July!

My close friends know I’m not a big fan of ‘americanisms’ it’s a Fairy cake not a Cup Cake! It’s
a film not a movie!! The list goes on and please do NOT EVER, EVER tell me I’m awesome! Cringe.

So why am I rejoicing the 4th of July?

Because tomorrow, Cardiff City Council will be emptying the green bins in north Cardiff.
Since gravelling my front garden to create parking for the VW fleet and having my rear garden slabbed by the wonderful Owen, my gardening chores have been wonderfully reduced which
gives me more time to spend in my craft cave - heaven 😊.

So why am I so happy? Because a green bin collection feels like normality is returning to my world and that of my neighbours. And a bit of normality after the past few sad and worrying months must surely bring a sense of hope for our future. And hope is what we all need.

My Parental Guidance, friends and the community spirit have certainly helped my wellbeing through this time. I’m sure we have all struggled at some point.

There are often awful stories reported by the press which occasionally make me think I’ll stay in my bubble on The Hill forever. But remember, the majority of  people are good and kind. It’s the minority we read about.

I will leave you with my latest happy find on Amazon. The Chaff band! This will change my life 😃
